People are changing, technology is changing, and business is changing. Increasingly, people are building and connecting through communities and sharing information and influence. So in place of standalone products, services are emerging to deliver intergrated systems of interaction that are multifaceted and allow both providers and consumers to participate in its design and evolution. This theme of Service + Social was explored in the Motorla-Microsoft 2010 Design Challenge.
In our project, we focused on the information needs of people - what you need and when you need it, while allowing for moments of surrendipity. After much ethnographic research in the form of surveys, journals, collage activities, and round-table discussions, we developed nüs. This service uses social and contextual filtering to aggregate and deliver personalized news to you.
