Getting to know someone is very much like a dance - the initial awkwardness with misplaced limbs and uncoordinated moves, that through practice, gradually becomes a fluid intimacy that tells a story. In my self-portrait, I wanted very much to play off this metaphor. Taking the different facts and stories about myself, I organized it on a continuum from public/obvious to private/personal, and categorized them based on emotion. By visualizing this in a tag cloud, the poster draws the viewer in to engage in playful exploration of who I am. Different individuals will pick out different facts and stories to construct their own story of who I am.
