Designed and developed features — including iSCSI software initiator & target, secure UFD, 1394 & USB storage drivers, Storage Explorer, Microsoft Cluster Server, block replication — for Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows Storage Server 2008, and Windows 7. Interfaced and liaised with vendors and clients in the development of feature specifications. Subject matter expert on Fibre Channel and iSCSI technologies.

Designed and developed CD-MRW filter driver, port driver development kit, and storport debugger extension and driver verifier. Contributed — through triaging and fixing crucial bugs — to the release of Windows XP and Windows 2003.
Hardware Engineer Intern, Nuvation Engineering

Designed and developed firmware for a board level distributed power system. Debugged and re-archtected FPGA solutiosn for a digital video controller and a hard driver motor controller.
Research Engineer Intern, Department of Physics & Astronomy, UBC

Designed and built — machined mechanical components, designed electronic circuitry, programmed microcontrollers — prototypes for various autonomous robots in the development of a new engineering physics project course.
Drama
Trained in the Viewpoints method of actor training.
Piano Performance
Prizewinner at local, provincial, national and international competitions including the Canadian Music Competitions and the Seattle Young Artist Music Festival. Invited participant artist to the Music Bridge Summer Program and the Orford Arts Centre Summer Academy.
Rowing
Coxswain of the UBC Men’s Varsity crew from 1998 – 2002. Silver medallists at the 2001 Canadian University Rowing Championships, and bronze medallists at the 1999 San Diego Crew Classic and 1999 Royal Canadian Henley Regatta. Selected to cox the 2002 Canadian National Team for the Commonwealth and University Games.
Volunteering
11 yr volunteer (1996 – 2003, 2005 – 2009) at the Ronald McDonald House. Supported kids and their families by growing relationships and spending time with them — playing with the kids, cooking together with the families, organizing and leading activities — as they underwent treatment at the BC Children's Hospital.
